  • Project Coordinator
    Barry Twomey served as an elected union official representing railroad workers from Boston to Miami for many years. His last position was Vice President/Treasurer. He served the union as a negotiator and chief of defense. Barry created the Pro-Start Workplace Health and Safety program that cut injuries by more than 50%. He was involved in Operation Redblock a Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program and served as the union member of the Acela High Speed Rail Design Committee.

    He served two years as an Americorp volunteer in inner city community outreach and a year as a Vista volunteer at the Blackstone School in the South End as coordinator of tutoring and mentoring.

    He holds a M.Ed in Psychology. Studied At the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis, the Institute for the Study of Violence and holds two certificates From Harvard School of Public Health in Ergonomics and Industrial Health and Safety. Barry also holds a Massachusetts Real Estate License.
